And behind every great team is a leader who knows how to bring out the best in the people around them.

That’s what Grit & Garnish is built on.

After years of leading restaurants, rebuilding struggling teams, and helping managers grow into leaders, I realized there was something missing in our industry. Managers are expected to figure everything out on their own. They’re handed responsibility, held accountable for results, and expected to lead people without ever being taught how.

I don’t believe that’s good enough.

Grit & Garnish exists to give restaurant leaders the tools, systems, and practical guidance I wish I’d had earlier in my career. The kind that’s been tested during busy Friday night rushes, difficult conversations, staffing shortages, failed inspections, budget reviews, and the everyday realities of running a restaurant.

Because when you build better leaders, you don’t just build better restaurants.

You build stronger teams, better cultures, more confident managers, and places where people actually want to work.
